Customer verdicts

What owners said after the visit

Rated 4.2 out of 5 across 74 customer reviews. A cross-section of them is printed below in full, and the table says where the rest of each one lives.

How to read these

Each entry is one visit: what the appliance was doing, what was measured, what was changed, and how the call ended. They are printed as they reached us, first name and last initial. The ones that are less than glowing are printed too, and there are more of them here than on most pages of this kind.

That is not modesty, it is the coast. Salt reaches condensers, blower bearings and exterior dampers on this stretch faster than it does two miles inland, and parts for built-in equipment come a long way to get here. A pool that quietly dropped every visit involving a second trip or a wait for a box would describe a round nobody in these ZIPs actually gets.

No entry below quotes a figure. What a visit costs is set out on the pricing page, where it can be checked against the invoice, and what happens after the repair is on the warranty page. If a review describes what your own appliance is doing, the page for that repair explains how the fault is diagnosed.

A flat $80 diagnostic covers the visit and the diagnosis. It is credited toward the repair if you go ahead with the work.

A cross-section

One visit from every repair and every street

  • Our freezer drawer had stopped closing squarely and frost was forming along the top gasket. He set the drawer rails, fitted a new gasket, then checked the seal with a strip of paper the whole way round.

    Persephone L.

  • Glasses were coming out gritty and the lower spray arm barely turned. He stripped the sump, pulled out a build-up of scale and glass fragments, fitted a new arm bearing, and ran a full cycle to prove it.

    Magdalena I.

  • The hood had started rattling at top speed and smelling hot. He found the blower wheel out of balance with grease on one side only, cleaned and rebalanced it, then checked the duct run back into the wall.

    Verity Y.

  • The upper zone in the wine column had crept several degrees above its setting. He found the divider fan not starting reliably from cold, replaced it, then logged both zones overnight before signing the work off.

    Rosamund W.

  • One of the rear burners kept clicking long after it had lit. He found a cracked spark electrode and a damp igniter port, replaced the electrode, dried and resealed the cap, and the clicking has not come back.

    Emmeline R.

  • The oven fan had started scraping on its shroud at high heat. He shimmed the housing and replaced a distorted blade, and the noise has gone. I would have liked more warning that the cavity had to be stripped.

    Barnabas T.

  • The wall oven was reading a long way under and burning the base of everything. He logged a whole preheat, found the sensor drifting, changed it, and re-checked calibration against his own probe before leaving.

    Wilhelmina T.

  • Ours was throwing the breaker somewhere in the middle of a wash, never at the same point twice. The heater element was leaking to earth and he changed it. Sorted, but my first slot moved and I rearranged a whole week.

    Cuthbert J.

  • Ice was building at the back of the freezer drawer and refreezing into a sheet. He cleared the drain, fitted a new grommet, and showed me the corrosion on the mullion. Good work. I did wait most of a fortnight for the slot.

    Cormac D.

  • Our lights dimmed whenever the fan came on. He traced it to a corroded connector block inside the canopy and replaced the block entire. Good result. The visit ran long and I had to wait around for it.

    Ambrose F.

  • Simmer on the front-left burner had become a choice between out and roaring. He replaced the valve and set the low stop by flame. It works properly now. The kitchen needed a wipe down afterwards.

    Thaddeus M.

  • The undercounter refrigerator had begun sweating around the door frame. He replaced the perimeter gasket and adjusted the closer. Much improved. The part took a while to come and I was not updated much.

    Casimir P.

  • The result is fine and the machine is quiet again. What I did not care for was being handed three different explanations across two visits before anybody settled on the circulation pump as the cause.

    Clementine O.

  • The door glass had fogged between the panes and the right hinge had gone lazy. He replaced both hinges and the inner glass. Tidy job. He needed a second trip because one hinge arrived damaged.

    Augustin L.

  • It cools now. It took two visits and a lot of chasing by me, because the first assessment blamed a door that turned out to be fine. Polite throughout, but I would have liked a call when the plan changed.

    Perpetua N.

  • Bottles at the bottom were sitting far too cold and one had frozen. He found the sensor re-taped in the wrong spot by somebody before us, moved it and recalibrated. A written note of the changes would have helped.

    Isadora R.

Where are the rest of them?

On the pages they are about. A review of a hood blower belongs under the hood repair, and one filed in Neptune Beach belongs on the Neptune Beach sheet, where it tells a reader something the page they are already on cannot. This sheet shows the spread; the columns say how many of each we hold and how many are printed above.

Asked about the reviews

Why is the average not higher than it is?

Because the entries that describe a second trip, a part that took a while to land or a first diagnosis that missed are published alongside the rest. A pool with those quietly removed would average better and would describe a round nobody on this coast actually gets.

Does every review in the page markup appear on the page?

Yes, and it is built that way rather than checked afterwards. One array feeds the printed cards and the structured data at once, so a review body a search engine can read is a review body you can read, in full, on the sheet that carries it.
