Use of brand names on this site
Pier Street Appliance is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Thermador or BSH Home Appliances. Every brand name and model number on these pages is the property of its respective owner and appears here for one purpose only: to identify which appliances we repair. No manufacturer logo, typeface or colour scheme is used anywhere on this site, and nothing here should be read as a claim of manufacturer approval.
The information on these pages
Repair notes, symptom lists and local conditions are written from field experience and from published sources, which are attributed on the page where they appear. They describe what we typically find. They are not a diagnosis of your appliance, and no page here should be used as a substitute for having the machine looked at.
Appliances involve mains electricity, gas, pressurised refrigerant and heavy doors. Nothing on this site is an instruction to open one yourself.
Booking a visit
A booking is an appointment window during posted hours, not a guaranteed arrival minute. If we are going to miss a window, we call. If you need to cancel, call the same number and we will move it — there is no cancellation fee for reasonable notice.
Someone eighteen or over must be present for the visit, and we need physical access to the appliance. If the machine is boxed in by cabinetry or blocked, we will tell you what has to move before we can work.
Diagnostic, estimates and payment
A flat $129 diagnostic covers the visit and the diagnosis. It is credited toward the repair if you go ahead with the work. You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor begins. Nothing is opened up on a maybe.
An estimate is valid for thirty days and assumes the part is still available at the quoted price. If a supplier price moves or a second fault is found once the machine is open, we stop and re-quote rather than continue and bill you for the difference. Payment is due on completion.
Warranty
Labor is warranted 90 days. Genuine OEM parts are warranted 365 days from the date of installation. The full terms, including what the warranty does not cover, are on the warranty page and form part of these terms.
Limits
We are responsible for our own workmanship, and we carry insurance for it. We are not responsible for the pre-existing condition of an appliance, for food loss, for consequential loss, or for a failure caused by supply water, supply voltage, or an installation performed by someone else. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount paid for the work in question.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Duval County, Florida.
