On a built-in, the cheap things fail first. - 01 **Supply, measured at the appliance** Voltage at the terminal block under load, not at the panel. A circuit that sags when the air handler starts produces exactly the shutdown a failing power board does, and costs nothing to rule out. - 02 **Airflow and clearance** Grille off, condenser inspected, fan checked, and a look at what has been built around the cabinet since it went in. Flooring laid over a toe-kick grille starves a perfectly clean coil. - 03 **Doors, gaskets and hinge geometry** Custom panels are heavy. A door that has dropped a few millimetres stops sealing on the strike side, and the cabinet or the oven that never holds setpoint is reporting carpentry, not electronics. - 04 **Fill and drain paths** Timed fill volume, inlet pressure, screens and filters, sump and drain. A supply stop left half closed and a drain line run flat to the disposal both imitate parts that cost real money. - 05 **Duct, damper and make-up air** Filters, elbows, reductions, the exterior cap, and whether a tight house is letting anything back in. Replacing a healthy blower motor does not fix a pressure problem. - 06 **Electronics, last and measured** Harness and connector corrosion first, then the outputs the complaint points at.
